Series of initiatives organized by Casa Testori on the occasion of the exhibition
Botanica. From Art to Nature (10 October 2015 – 14 February 2016)

BOTANY WORKSHOP

In collaboration with the Association Friends of the Villa Venino Library and IIS Pareto School of Milan

Students from 12 elementary school classes in Novate Milanese, from the city’s two school campuses, were guided by students from the Pareto Institute in a workshop focused on plant identification, during which the history of the plants and their growth processes were explained.

EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS

In collaboration with ITCS Erasmo da Rotterdam of Bollate and the Natural History Museum of Milan

Following their involvement in the creation of the graphic design for Giorni Felici 2014, the collaboration between Casa Testori and the students of ITCS Erasmo da Rotterdam continued, this time with the production of permanent labels identifying the plants in the garden.
This initiative was made possible thanks to a mapping project carried out in collaboration with the Natural History Museum of Milan.

BALOSSA AWARD

An award for a young contemporary artist, inviting them to propose a participatory art project capable of involving the citizens of Novate Milanese and Cormano, and of encouraging recognition and identification with an agricultural park of such importance to the traditions of the local area.

GUIDED TOURS FOR SCHOOLS

Guided tours specifically organized for schools of all age groups, from kindergarten to high school.

FACEBOOK GROUP “VOLUNTEERS FOR CULTURE MILAN N/W”

A group created with the aim of building a network of volunteers engaged in the enhancement of the cultural and environmental heritage of the north-west area of Milan.

4 PROFESSORS FOR 4 HERITAGE SITES

Four advanced training meetings offered as a gift to volunteers involved in the enhancement of the most important cultural treasures of north-west Milan.
At the same time, four events open to everyone: because these heritage sites belong to us all—and cultural volunteers can be made.

GOOGLE STREET VIEW FOR CULTURAL SITES

Making three significant cultural sites in the area accessible via Google: a pilot project that provides owners and managers of cultural venues with the professional skills and experience needed to open their beauty to virtual visitors, encouraging them to become physical visitors as well.
