On the evening of Wednesday, December 18, Casa Testori hosted the presentations of two special books. The event began at 7:00 p.m. with the introduction of “Testori 100. Diario di un centenario”: the first volume in the new series “12maggio. I libri di Casa Testori.” This diary was born from the desire to document everything that took place during the centenary celebrations of Giovanni Testori (1923–1993). Structured in the simple form of a journal, it offers a “chronicle” that traces all the initiatives of a remarkably rich and varied program—told through both images and written contributions.

Following this, Aurelio Picca presented “La gloria,” his new book in which he narrates—through both prose and poetry—the lives of great sports champions and the mark they have left on recent history: not only in their respective fields but also in the lives of all of us. Symbolically, the author was accompanied by Testori’s Boxers, large paintings created between the late 1960s and early 1970s, which reveal one of Italy’s great sporting passions of that era, as also reflected in Picca’s work.

The evening concluded with risotto, panettone, and a toast for all attendees, a warm way to exchange holiday wishesbefore Christmas.
