On the occasion of the exhibition Fotoromanzo Testori. Immagini di una vita, the Giovanni Testori Association invites you to a special afternoon with writer, journalist, and ARCHIVIO magazine director Valerio Millefoglie, Casa Testori director Davide Dall’Ombra, and Alice Boltri, head of the Testori Archive.
Between documents and voices for future memory: a live dialogue exploring how archival materials can come to life through the medium of podcasts. The event will be followed by a guided tour of the exhibition Fotoromanzo Testori, on view until July 15.
The event is part of the second edition of ARCHIVIFUTURI. Festival of Contemporary Archives, a unique opportunity to discover the cultural heritage of the 20th and 21st centuries across an area stretching from the northern Milan region to the province of Varese, up to the lakes and the Swiss border—an area chosen by many contemporary artists as a privileged place for research and creation, and home to museums, foundations, house-museums, and archives dedicated to their work.
With the strategic goal of strengthening and projecting into the future the territorial network ARCHIVI DEL CONTEMPORANEO, this edition of the Festival has expanded to include new partners and introduced live performances in key locations across the network. The rich program also features exhibition openings, educational and performance activities, special archive openings with guided tours, as well as workshops and activities for children and families visiting the Festival’s venues.
The second edition of the Festival, organized by the ARCHIVI DEL CONTEMPORANEO network, is supported by Fondazione Cariplo as part of the “Emblematici Provinciali” call by Fondazione Comunitaria del Varesotto, within the project SWITCH ON. Live Arts and Community Festival. Integrated Enhancement of the Territory and Strengthening of the Contemporary Archives Network (2022–2024).
