Above the entrance door of Casa Testori is the work Cultura non stop by Marija Sevic,
exhibited during the 2014 exhibition Giorni Felici.
Originally conceived as a protest piece to be placed in front of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade, which had been closed since 2007, Marija Sevic’s neon sign takes on a more positive meaning on the façade of Casa Testori.
It becomes a marker of a place that aims to be a welcoming and accessible reference point, open day and night.
The reference to commercial neon signs emphasizes the idea that culture does not have to be elitist — it can be available always, and to everyone.
A metaphor that sums up — and lights up — Casa Testori’s mission.
