Francesca Damiano, POICHÉ SI VEDE COME CANTO (SINCE YOU CAN SEE HOW I SING)
Francesca Damiano’s work was nourished by the relationship with the community and everyday life. The artist asked some families in Edolo to welcome her into their homes and allow her to make a frottage of the profile of their dining table, a symbol of conviviality and sharing. All the traces collected gave rise to a new structure, which, by combining the regularity of the exterior and the irregularity of the interior, told the stories of all the families and, at the same time, made it possible to create different ones. The new table, located in a public place, was in fact available to the community, everyone could bring a chair and turn it into a new reference point and meeting place in the village.
