The Performance
For thirty weeks, Federica Fracassi accompanied Casa Testori’s Monday Live series, reading some of Giovanni Testori’s most beautiful writings on art. These texts are largely drawn from his many “militant” articles published over nearly twenty years of collaboration with Corriere della Sera, from 1975 to 1993.
As part of MotoTeatro Oscar’s summer season, on Monday, July 19, Federica Fracassi will offer, in the garden of Casa Testori, a selection of these writings — from the first, dedicated to Bernardino Luini, to the last, written for Francis Bacon. It’s a passionate journey through great artists and their masterpieces, which Testori’s words bring vividly to life, allowing us to share in his fervent love for art and his extraordinary power of vision.
Through the voice of Federica Fracassi — an actress and 2021 Hystrio Award winner, long accustomed to inhabiting Testori’s language — the evening will unfold as both a literary and visual experience: during the reading, images of the artworks will be dramatically projected onto the façade of Casa Testori.
