Storytelling

First edition of Giorni Felici: 22 artists, some big names and many young ones, exhibited their works in one of the different rooms of the house. Inspired by Testori’s concept of welcoming and enhancing young artists, Associazione Giovanni Testori wanted creativity, expressed in all its forms, to take possession of the house. The title, Giorni Felici (Happy Days), refers to a particularly serene period in Testori’s life, when he created some watercolours of sunsets, exhibited in the main hall of the house.
The event was also the occasion to officially present the website www.archiviotestori.it, a complete online catalogue of his paintings, created by Associazione Giovanni Testori Onlus. The house came to life and the energy generated by such an original context turned the spotlight on the press. The major national newspapers (Repubblica, Corriere della Sera, Il Giornale, La Stampa…), local newspapers and many web pages dedicated ample space to promoting and reviewing the event. According to Repubblica’s ranking, Giorni Felici 2009 was the third most visited exhibition in Lombardy in June 2009, with more than 3,000 visitors.
