Erica Bardi, in her series “As long as the Sun lasts”, presents images with dual, unexpected layers of interpretation, bridging the gap between the infinitely near and the infinitely far, between the intimate sphere and that of the sky. Sofia Bersanelli, on the other hand, with her project “If Only I Could Sing”, explores the mysterious formation of images in shots taken with her Polaroid, opening the photographic paper and presenting the results as precious diptychs. Alongside these miniature-format works, she also exhibits macro prints of selected video frames.
What unites the creative paths of Bardi and Bersanelli is their shared experimental tension, reflecting a clear and inquisitive gaze on life.
The exhibition is accompanied by texts by Alessio Fusi and Bruno Muzzolini.
The opening of the exhibition was part of the official program of events for Milano Art Week 2025.
The public program of “BEYOND/WITHIN WITHIN/BEYOND” includes two talks: the first, “Photography and Philosophy”, will take place on Thursday, May 8 at 7:00 PM with philosopher Federico Ferrari; the second, “Photography and Artificial Intelligence”, will be held on Saturday, May 24 at 6:00 PM with critic Luca Fiore.
