GIORNI FELICI 2012
Casa Testori
5 October – 4 November 2012
Fourth edition of Giorni Felici a Casa Testori. After three successful years, with more than 3500 visitors per edition, the 20 artists called to set up the 20 rooms of the house have been chosen by as many artists. Naturally, the idea of placing side by side artists who need no introduction with many young people was respected. There were interesting reversed dynamics: young people invited by their masters or big names wanted by young artists who followed in their footsteps, as in the case of Mario Schifano, called by Andrea Mastrovito, to whom the living room of the house was allocated. Schifano was present with his painted photos, including shots of Giovanni Testori from 1993. Giorni Felici paid tribute to the great architect Angelo Mangiarotti, who had just passed away and was “invited” by Alessandro Mendini.
The cast of artists in the exhibition is particularly international: artists from Japan, Finland, Germany, Slovenia, Holland and Serbia.
In addition, Giorni Felici 2012 also included the awarding of the premio Mariuccia Paracchi to the best artist under 35.
The artists exhibiting in this edition are:
