Davide Rivalta, CHEETAHS
An unexpected encounter. This was the first impact of Davide Rivalta’s work for those who moved through the streets of Edolo out of habit. Those who knew exactly what they were going to encounter around the corner, so much so that they did not even realise what little had changed, probably realised instead the presence of the figures forged by the artist. His bronze animals were out of context, but they stood on the same floor that the inhabitants of Edolo walk on every day. They were not meant to be symbolic, but epiphanic. They imposed themselves first in space and then in memory: « Here, one day, there was a cheetah», will be told.
